about me

I'm an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. I'm a political and urban geographer and my research revolves around issues of politics at multiple scales. Related to this, I'm interested in territoriality, social networks, and other spatialities of political power. At Ball State, I teach introductory courses on international politics and geographic information systems (GIS) and advanced courses in political geography, urban geography and GIS. I earned my Ph.D. in Geography at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and also hold B.A. and M.A. degrees in Geography from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
